Biography

Bryce is a multifaceted individual, boasting a triple threat of skills as a Director, Producer, and Emmy Nominated Cinematographer. With a background rooted in the picturesque town of Kona, Hawaii, he has spent over 15 years traversing the globe, working with esteemed organizations such as National Geographic, HBO, ESPN, PBS, Discovery, Travel Channel, A&E, Tesla, and Red Bull, among others.

As a freelancer, Bryce has honed his expertise in the marine environment, accumulating more than 15 years of experience. His professional journey began in 2004, when he co-founded Living Ocean Productions on the Big Island of Hawaii. This venture aimed to bridge the gap between the scientific community and the general public through compelling storytelling and powerful imaging.

Throughout his illustrious career, Bryce's work has been showcased in numerous documentaries, television series, magazines, newspapers, and international film festivals, museums, and aquariums worldwide. With an impressive 5000 hours of underwater shooting under his belt, he has created meaningful and innovative programming that explores issues across more than 50 countries.

Bryce's tireless efforts have focused on highlighting the importance of sharks, whales, reefs, and cultures globally. In 2010, he played a pivotal role in helping Hawaii become the safest place in the world for sharks, with the passing of SB2169, a bill prohibiting the possession, sale, or trade of any shark fin products in the state. This groundbreaking legislation has since inspired similar shark conservation initiatives in multiple countries and over 10 US states and territories.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Bryce is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Ocean Preservation Alliance, an organization that connects scientists and NGOs with super-yachts worldwide. He also serves as an independent consultant, focusing on solution-based strategies for water, people, land, and cultural issues. Moreover, Bryce sits on the International Board of Directors for WildAid and has his fine art photography, featuring recycled aluminum slabs, represented at New River Fine Art on Las Olas Blvd in Ft Lauderdale, Florida.
