J. Bryan Dick's writing career in the cable movie space began in 2012 when he was hired by MarVista Entertainment to write their thriller Gone Missing, a project that marked the start of his prolific output, resulting in nearly 30 produced credits.
Born and raised in Oklahoma, Bryan Dick's educational background includes a degree in Critical Studies from the University of Southern California's film school.
Bryan's early career in the film and television industry was marked by his role as an executive assistant at Rat Entertainment, where he was involved in all aspects of development, laying the groundwork for his future writing assignments.
His first writing credit came as the story editor for MTV's reality show Fear, a position that demonstrated his ability to craft compelling narratives.
Later, Bryan worked under the guidance of Academy Award-winning producer Brian Grazer at Imagine Entertainment, further honing his writing skills.
Over the past decade, Bryan has continued to script female-in-distress thrillers, while also exploring different creative avenues. One notable example is his work on the podcast The Bush Push, which he co-produced and co-wrote, earning a Webby Award Honoree for Best Writing.
In addition to his writing credits, Bryan has also served as the Executive Director for the CineStory Foundation, a 501c3 screenwriting organization dedicated to discovering and developing undiscovered writing talent.
