Biography

Britta Phillips, a determined and ambitious individual, made the bold decision to relocate to the vibrant city of New York when she was just 19 years old, driven by her passion to pursue a career in the music industry.

Her father, a skilled professional with a background in composing jingles, played a crucial role in facilitating her entry into the competitive world of music. Through his extensive connections and network, Britta was afforded the opportunity to audition for the popular cartoon series JEM, and her exceptional vocal talents ultimately earned her the coveted role of singing the lead voice of the beloved character JEM.

The series, which aired from 1985 to 1988, marked a significant milestone in Britta's career, and as the show drew to a close, she secured her first major film role in the 1988 movie Satisfaction. Despite the demands of her dual commitments, Britta continued to travel to Atlanta during the filming of Satisfaction to record the remaining songs for JEM, showcasing her remarkable dedication and work ethic.
