Brian Ash is a multifaceted creative professional with a diverse range of accomplishments in the entertainment industry. As a writer, he has made significant contributions to various television shows, including Black Dynamite: The Animated Series, The Boondocks, Freaknik: The Musical, and Imagination Movers. He has also worked on animated segments for Lewis Black's Root of All Evil and The Super Rumble Mix Show.
In addition to his television work, Ash has written and produced comic books, including the premiere issue of Ars Nova and Ape Entertainment's Black Dynamite, which is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of 2011.
In the feature film industry, Ash has worked as a writer and co-producer on Universal Pictures' and Roc-A-Fella Films' Paper Soldiers, and has developed screenplays for Lionsgate Films and Urban Entertainment.
Ash's background in music videos and independent film led him to land his first production deal with the late George Jackson's UBO Network, where he created IndiePlanet, an animated online series later syndicated by Sci-Fi Network.
In 2005, Ash wrote, produced, and directed See Paris Die!, an animated campaign for the Paris Hilton Warner Bros. film, House of Wax. In 2001, he received the World Animation Celebration's Best Animated Drama award for The Road to Graceland, a trilogy of animated prequels to the Warner Bros. release, 3000 Miles to Graceland.
Brian Ash was raised in the Bronx and educated at Yeshiva. He is an alumnus of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Film & TV program and currently resides in Los Angeles.
