By the time Brent had completed his college education, he had attended an astonishing 13 different schools, with a staggering 19 distinct residences across 9 states, all due to his father's demanding career as a Corporate "Fixer". This peripatetic upbringing would later influence Brent's fascination with computers, which he began exploring at the tender age of 14, long before the advent of the internet or home computers.
As a high school student, Brent developed a remarkable proficiency in programming languages such as Assembler, Basic, Pascal, C, and Dbase. His academic pursuits were marked by a dual focus, as he concurrently earned a degree in Personnel and almost completed a double major in computer science.
Brent's early career was marked by a series of notable positions, including a stint as a DOD programmer for the Army, where he worked on missile computers and Army Corps of Engineer computers to ensure their Y2K readiness. During this period, he established a working relationship with the FBI, a connection that would prove instrumental in his future endeavors.
Subsequent to his work with the Army, Brent joined an international chemical company, providing network design and support services. He later founded his own business, which was contracted to manage two separate sites for a Fortune 100 international chemical company, one of which was located in West Virginia.
In the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, Brent joined the FBI Infragard, a professional organization dedicated to protecting the country's critical infrastructure. He currently serves as the Vice-President of the local Infragard chapter.
Brent's teaching experience at a local technical college, where he instructed courses in IT and Criminal Justice, with a focus on cybercrime, prompted him to rebrand his 12-year-old company, Wolverine Investigations, to better reflect his business focus. Today, he offers consulting services in both cyber and physical security, designing and installing CCTV systems, as well as consulting on physical security, executive protection, and firearms.
With a diverse client base that includes international and local clients, including a prominent talent agency, Brent has had the opportunity to appear in several films and is likely to do so in the future. When not engaged in his business pursuits, Brent enjoys a range of hobbies, including firearms, weightlifting, cooking, reading, motorcycles, and photographic surveillance.
