Biography

Brent Briscoe's illustrious career in the entertainment industry began after he graduated from the University of Missouri, when he started as an apprentice at The Burt Reynolds Jupiter Theatre in 1985. Following this experience, he spent several years touring the country, starring in notable theatrical productions such as "Greater Tuna" and "A Tuna Christmas".

In 1994, Briscoe made a significant career shift, joining the writing staff of the television series Evening Shade, which he would later pen a teleplay for, titled The Right to Remain Silent, in collaboration with his longtime friend and partner, Mark Fauser. This marked the beginning of a long-term creative partnership between the two.

Briscoe's big break came in 1996, when he landed a role in Billy Bob Thornton's critically acclaimed film Sling Blade, which would be the first of several collaborations between the two talented individuals. This success led to Briscoe relocating to Los Angeles permanently, where he would go on to work with some of the industry's most renowned directors.

One of Briscoe's most notable and critically acclaimed roles was that of Lou in Sam Raimi's A Simple Plan, a project that once again involved his close friend and collaborator, Billy Bob Thornton. His impressive filmography also includes roles in U Turn, The Green Mile, The Majestic, Mulholland Drive, Driven, Madison, and Spider-Man 2.

In addition to his acting work, Briscoe co-wrote and starred alongside Fauser in the Miramax film Waking Up in Reno, a project that showcased the duo's writing talents. Throughout his career, Briscoe has consistently demonstrated his versatility and talent, working with a wide range of acclaimed directors and actors, and making a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
