Brendan Mertens, a young boy from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, was raised by his mother and father, surrounded by the idyllic backdrop of his hometown. As a child, he was fascinated by the world of film and filmmaking, and his journey towards becoming a part of it began when he was just six years old. That fateful day, he stumbled upon a movie that would forever change the course of his life - Ghostbusters. The thrill, excitement, and adventure that unfolded on the screen captivated his imagination, and he knew from that moment on that he was destined to be a part of the magic that happened under the bright lights of Hollywood.
As he grew older, Brendan's passion for filmmaking only intensified, and he began to work tirelessly towards making his dreams a reality. He graduated from the esteemed film program at Loyalist College, where he honed his craft by working his way up from camera operator to stunt coordinator and eventually, extra on the big-budget horror sequel, Urban Legend 2: Final Cut. Throughout his journey, he showcased his remarkable emotional range and raw talent for acting, ultimately landing his first lead role as "Jeff" in the cult classic, Two Dufflebags.
