Biography

Brendan Coyle was born in Corby, Northamptonshire, England, to an Irish father and Scottish mother, who had relocated to Corby from County Tyrone, Ireland, prior to his birth. As a result, Brendan holds Irish citizenship, having spent significant periods of his life in Dublin and London. Interestingly, a video clip from the website of the TV series "Rockface" suggests that he currently resides in Norfolk.

Furthermore, Brendan Coyle is also the great nephew of the renowned football legend Sir Matt Busby, who was celebrated for his achievements with Manchester United.

Brendan's early training in drama took place at the Focus Theatre in Dublin, which was founded in the late 1960s by his aunt, Mary Elizabeth Burke-Kennedy. He began his studies at the Focus Theatre in 1981 and later received a scholarship to attend Mountview Theatre School in England in 1983. Following his graduation from Mountview, Brendan has directed at least two productions at the institution.

Throughout his career, Brendan has appeared in a variety of stage, television, and film productions, including the play "The Weir," for which he won an Olivier Award for Best Supporting Performance for his portrayal of the bartender, Brendan. He continues to be actively involved in the entertainment industry, working on stage, in film, and on television.
