Boise Holmes, a native of Baltimore, Maryland, has had a prolific career in film, television, and theater. His impressive list of credits includes appearances in "Kiss the Girls", "Chicago Fire", "Law and Order: SVU", "30 Rock", "CSI: Miami", and "Days of Our Lives". Additionally, he has lent his voice to various commercials, such as those for Wal-Mart, Toyota, Verizon, and McDonald's.
Boise's journey in acting began in high school, where he landed his first stage role as Purlie in "Purlie Victorious". He went on to take on a wide range of roles, including Jesus in "Jesus Christ Superstar", Walter Lee in "A Raisin in the Sun", Jim in "Big River" (for which he won the "Best Actor" award from the Thalian Association),and Tony Kirby in "You Can't Take it With You". His portrayal of Othello earned him 1st place in the National Shakespeare Competition at New York's Lincoln Center, resulting in a full scholarship to study at England's Oxford School of Drama, where he played the title role of MacBeth.
One of the most notable and challenging experiences of his career was when he was cast as Mufasa in the German production of Disney's "The Lion King", which was performed entirely in German. After a successful run, he was asked to return to Germany to reprise the role for the show's 10-year anniversary. He also played the role of Scar in "The Festival of The Lion King" in Hong Kong.
Boise's international appearances have taken him to Japan, Monaco, and London, and he continues to express his creativity through writing songs, poetry, and short stories. He has also performed his own "One Man Vignettes" around the world. Upcoming, he will star as David in the trilogy "The Truth About The War in Heaven".
