Bobbye Jean Hall, a renowned percussionist, was born in the vibrant city of Detroit, Michigan, and began her illustrious career in her teenage years, performing in nightclubs throughout the city. It was during her time at the iconic 20 Grand nightclub in 1961 that she was approached by the esteemed Motown arranger, Paul Riser, to participate in a recording session. With her exceptional skills on the bongos, congas, and other percussion instruments, she made uncredited appearances on numerous Motown recordings throughout the 1960s.
