Bobby Nish's life journey began in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois, where he was born and raised as the youngest of three siblings. His early years were spent attending Lane Tech High School, followed by his higher education at Southern Illinois University, where he majored in Art & Design. It was during his time at S.I.U. that he discovered his passion for acting, taking his first theatre 101 class and getting a taste of the performing arts.
After completing his studies, Bobby briefly ventured into the advertising world, but soon realized that it wasn't his true calling. He made the bold decision to quit his day job, enroll in acting classes, and work as a bartender in the trendy Lincoln Park area of Chicago. This move eventually led to him booking roles in small theatre productions around the city, which ultimately landed him his first theatrical agent.
Bobby's big break came when his acting teacher approached him about auditioning for a commercial being cast down the hall from his acting class. With a dash of luck and serendipity, he landed his first national commercial, and his career began to take off. He went on to book more commercials, as well as roles in local independent films, until he had saved enough to make the bold move to California to pursue acting full-time.
Today, Bobby Nish has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry, playing various characters on episodic television, including guest starring roles on popular shows such as 'Southland', 'The Mentalist', 'E.R.', 'Without A Trace', and 'Judging Amy'. His latest project is the feature film 'Ad Astra', directed by James Gray and starring Brad Pitt, set for release on September 20th, 2019.
