Biography

Bob "Condo King" Rennie is a renowned Canadian real estate marketer and art connoisseur hailing from the vibrant city of Vancouver, British Columbia. As the founder and executive director of one of Vancouver's largest and most prominent real estate marketing firms, "rennie", he has established himself as a leading figure in the industry.

Rennie's passion for art is equally impressive, as he is the proud curator of the Rennie Collection, a remarkable assemblage of contemporary art that boasts an impressive roster of over 370 artists. This esteemed collection is widely regarded as one of the largest and most significant in Canada.

Throughout his illustrious career, Rennie has received numerous accolades, including an honorary doctorate from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and an Order of British Columbia, which was bestowed upon him in recognition of his "exceptional dedication to strengthening and enhancing arts and culture in BC".

However, Rennie's accomplishments have not been without controversy. His role in gentrifying Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, one of the poorest communities in Canada, has been the subject of criticism, particularly in relation to the development of the Woodward's Building. Additionally, his marketing efforts for the controversial condominium developments in Vancouver's Olympic Village have also been the focus of scrutiny.
