Bob Bowen's formative years were spent on the frigid farming plains of Saskatchewan, Canada, where he endured a whopping 24 arctic winters, clad in animal skins and subsisting on potatoes harvested during the brief, balmy month of summer. During the 3 fleeting hours of daylight, he would indulge in his passion for doodling cartoons, a pastime that not only brought him joy but also kept his hands warm. This early fascination with art would lay the groundwork for his future endeavors.
In the year 1995, Bob embarked on an epic journey to the United States of America, traversing the vast distances by dog sled, snowmobile, ice-covered train, and finally, a Dodge Neon. His destination was art school, where he aimed to hone his skills and launch a career in doodling for television. After settling in the city of Los Angeles in 1998, Bob would spend the next three years adjusting to the warm sunshine, which initially startled him.
Since then, he has expanded his repertoire of skills to include animation directing, storyboarding, editing, and navigating both the Harmony and traditional pipelines. However, Bob's proficiency in shooting a puck or hunting moose with a bow across the frozen tundra has, unfortunately, become a distant memory.
