Biography

Billy Wirth attended Collegiate Prep School in Manhattan, New York, where he laid the foundation for his future success. Subsequently, he enrolled at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, further cultivating his intellect and creativity.

It was during his time at Brown University that Wirth's remarkable journey as a model began. Discovered by renowned photographer Bruce Weber, Wirth started modeling in New York City in the mid-80s, gracing the covers of prestigious magazines such as Seventeen, GQ, Interview, and teen publications. His early modeling endeavors were merely the precursor to his subsequent foray into the world of television and film.

Wirth's acting career took off with his debut in the television show The Equalizer, followed by his first film appearance in Seven Minutes In Heaven. Over the course of the next 15 years, he honed his craft, transitioning seamlessly from in front of the camera to behind the scenes. His artistic endeavors expanded to include writing, directing, and visual arts, with his work showcased in numerous California galleries.

In 1999, Wirth completed his short film, Kismet, and went on to write, direct, and produce his first full-length independent film, MacArthur Park. The film garnered critical acclaim, being screened at the Sundance Film Festival 2001 (Grand Prize nominee),Taos Talking Picture Festival (Land Grant nominee),and Seattle International Film Festival 2001 as part of the Black Experience in Films.

In addition to his work in film, Wirth has also been involved in the music industry. In the early 1990s, he fronted a rock band in LA called Dust N'Bones. He has since collaborated with the band "The Cronies" and is working on a new acoustic CD with music written by Wirth and Steven Costentino.

Wirth's passion for storytelling and social justice has led him to create a documentary that combines the plight of the homeless with the making of MacArthur Park. He has also opened his own online art gallery and completed a new film, The Drone Virus, as well as a feature for director Andrew Wagner, titled The Talent Given Us.

In 2007, Wirth changed management, joining John Crosby Management of LA, and is currently working on acting and directing projects. With his versatility, creativity, and dedication, Billy Wirth has established himself as a multifaceted artist, leaving a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
