Biography

Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell, a renowned actress, was born in Coventry, a city in the West Midlands region of England, but her early life took a dramatic turn when she was taken to Bradford, a district in West Yorkshire, as a young child. Here, she was raised and nurtured, eventually finding her footing in the world of theatre. Her journey began at the prestigious Civic Playhouse, where she enrolled in the theatre school, laying the foundation for her future success.

Before making her mark on television, Billie cut her teeth on radio, taking on little boy parts at BBC Manchester. This experience served as a valuable stepping stone, allowing her to hone her craft and build her confidence. As she matured as an actress, she began to appear in plays on television, showcasing her versatility and range.

Billie's impressive career on stage is marked by her 25-year association with the esteemed Irish playwright, Samuel Beckett. Her collaborations with Beckett are a testament to her dedication and passion for her craft. In addition to her work in theatre, Billie has also made a significant impact in the world of film. She has been fortunate enough to share the screen with the talented Albert Finney on two occasions, starring alongside him in the critically acclaimed films "Charlie Bubbles" (1969) and "Gumshoe".
