Caroline Bille Eltringham, a multifaceted individual, was born in the year 1967. Before venturing into the realm of film production, she honed her skills in two unique occupations - boatswain on tall-masted ships and theatrical dresser. Her educational background includes attendance at Bournemouth film school, where she had the opportunity to study alongside Simon Beaufoy, who would later go on to win an Academy Award for his work on 'Slumdog Millionaire', as well as Mark Blaney. Upon graduation, the trio formed Footprint Films, marking the beginning of their collaborative journey.
Following her stint producing short films for the BBC, Bille went on to create 'Kid in the Corner' for Channel 4. In the year 2000, she, along with Mark Blaney and Kate Ogden, founded This is Not a Company, a production house that shared its name with their 2002 film 'This is Not a Love Song'. This innovative film was notable for being simultaneously streamed on the Internet with its cinema release, a groundbreaking achievement in the film industry.
