Biography

Bill's debut feature film, "Runaway", received widespread critical acclaim upon its premiere at the Tribeca and Toronto film festivals, earning praise from critics for its brilliance and Hitchcockian style. The film went on to screen at numerous top-tier festivals worldwide, including Avignon, Woodstock, Vail, Palm Springs, and more. Additionally, Bill took home the top prize at the Austin Film Festival for his work on "Runaway", which was subsequently released by eOne Films.

Before transitioning to film, Bill had a background in stage acting and directing. As an actor, he worked alongside legendary lyricist Tim Rice, starring in the title role of the American premiere of Rice's rock opera, "Blondel". As a director, Bill was selected to participate in the prestigious Guthrie Theatre's Director's Lab. Most recently, he directed the hit main stage production of Stephen Adly Guirgis' "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" for the acclaimed Scottsdale School of Film+Theatre.

Bill's transition to playwriting saw him studying under Tony Award-winner and Oscar nominee Mark Medoff. He was named one of New Mexico's Best New Playwrights for his play, "Hell is a Diner". Bill was also a company member and dramaturg for Desert Playwrights Theatre Company. In 2014, his multi-media homage to the silent film, "He Who Gets Slapped", opened to rave reviews and went on to be staged at the LA Theatre Center as part of the Kennedy Center for the Arts theatre festival.

As a screenwriter, Bill was honored as a Bush Artists Fellowship grant recipient. He has since developed feature and television projects with various industry partners, including The Film Collective, NBA Entertainment, Warner Horizon Television, Veritas Entertainment, eOne Television, Echo Lake Entertainment, More/Medavoy Productions, and more.

Bill has also been a featured panelist and jurist at several industry events, including the Austin Film Festival, Scriptfest/The Great American Pitchfest, and Screencraft's Nashville Writers Conference.
