Bill Mousoulis is a Greek-Australian filmmaker with an extensive filmography, having produced over 100 films since 1982. His feature film repertoire includes 11 titles, with his most recent release being the 2023 film, My Darling in Stirling. Mousoulis's previous two feature films, Songs of Revolution (2017) and Wild and Precious (2012),were shot on location in Greece and Italy, and have been showcased at various European film festivals.
Prior to his international filmmaking endeavors, Mousoulis was based in Melbourne, where he established himself as a prominent figure in the local film scene. In fact, he has been hailed as "an independent film legend" by The Age, a reputable Melbourne newspaper.
In addition to his filmmaking pursuits, Mousoulis has also founded several notable film-related organizations and initiatives. One of his most notable achievements is the establishment of the Melbourne Super 8 Film Group in 1985, a group that has played a significant role in promoting the art of filmmaking in Australia.
Mousoulis's passion for film extends beyond his own creative endeavors, as he is also the founder of the esteemed online film journal, Senses of Cinema, which he launched in 1999.
