Bill was born in Yonkers, New York, but his childhood was spent in the Bronx, where his early fascination with storytelling was nurtured. At the tender age of eleven, he landed a role in a production of "Victoria Regina" in New York City, and it was during one of the performances that he had the good fortune to meet the renowned actress Helen Hayes, an encounter that would forever alter the course of his life.
Throughout his career, Bill has had the opportunity to perform with esteemed theater companies in Norway, Germany, Virginia, and Texas, and has since 2000, focused primarily on film and television, while still occasionally taking to the stage for local theater showcases. His linguistic skills are impressive, having learned German while living overseas, and he is also conversant in French and American Sign Language.
Bill's ability to master various accents has allowed him to take on a wide range of characters, including a British character in "Comanche Moon," a German psychologist in "The Gray Man, The Story of Serial Killer Albert Fish," a German pathologist in the homicide thriller "A Killer Within," a Latino pharmacist in "Carried Away," and an elderly Jewish man in "Spare Change." Since 2003, he has been a regular voice talent with FUNimation Productions, lending his voice to numerous characters in a diverse array of stories.
On stage, Bill has utilized his accents to bring to life a deaf man in "Are You Listening?," a piece he wrote based on personal experiences and impressions from Mark Medoff's "Children of a Lesser God." He has also won actor of the year for his portrayal of Vladimir Pachinko, a musician in Sarajevo during the civil war in the former Yugoslavia.
Since 2001, Bill has presented "The Care and Feeding of Actors" to students in undergraduate film programs at local colleges and universities, a seminar he developed to help students find, cast, and direct local professional actors. He is also frequently called upon to serve as a judge for local film festivals and has served as the Education Coordinator for the Board of Directors of the Dallas Producers Association.
Bill's broad perspective is rooted in his diverse life experiences, which include stints as a lumberyard worker, teacher, New York taxi driver, bus driver, counselor, pilot, university faculty member, photographer, and writer. He brings the seasoning of these experiences to each of his roles, making him a versatile and accomplished actor.
