Bill is a renowned actor who holds the Guinness World record for the most special effect make-up characters portrayed in a career, with a record number of 202 set on May 6, 2011.
Born and raised in Kent, Ohio, Bill graduated from Kent State University in 1977 with a degree in Telecommunications. However, during his college years, he discovered his passion for music and embarked on a music career, touring as the leader of a band called Expression in the early 1980s.
After recovering from a serious injury, Bill moved to Chicago in 1982 and transitioned to a career in entertainment. He began with bit-part roles in films, including an American Playhouse film titled "The Killing Floor" in 1982, and later landed featured bit-parts and stand-in work on several films.
Bill's breakthrough came in 1984 with his first speaking role in the TV movie "The Impostor." He continued to work in the industry, taking on print ads and industrial shows, and even portrayed his first alien character in an industrial film for the Oracle Software Company.
In the 1990s, Bill began to gain recognition for his work as an alien and monster actor, with his first experience on television being in the series "Alien Nation." This led to a string of roles in TV shows such as "Babylon 5," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," and "Sliders."
Throughout his career, Bill has worked on numerous TV series, including "Star Trek: Voyager," "Enterprise," "The X-Files," "The Invisible Man," and many more. He has also appeared in several films, including "Blades of Glory," "The Artist," "The Muppets," and "Nightcrawler."
