Bhavkhandan Singh Rakhra, known professionally as B K Singh Rakhra, embarked on a journey in Panjabi theater in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at the tender age of 18. He has since been successfully working in the industry, leaving a lasting impression on the stage and screen.
Born in Punjab, Mr. Rakhra immigrated to Canada in 1974, and has been residing in Vancouver ever since. His passion for acting in theaters and films has only grown stronger with time, earning him a respectable and reputable name in the industry.
Prior to pursuing his acting career, Mr. Rakhra completed his graduation from Vancouver and received a certification in Management Systems. He then honed his acting skills through various acting institutions in Vancouver, B.C.
In 2008, Mr. Rakhra joined the Canadian film industry, working with a reputable talent agency in Vancouver, BC, Canada. His hard work and dedication paid off when he received a nomination for "THE LEO AWARDS" in 2012 for his outstanding performance in the film "Afternoon Tea" (Directed by D J Parmar in 2011).
Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Rakhra has had the privilege of working with renowned directors, including Medison Thomas, Agam Darshi, Sophie Jarvis, Brad Turner, Martin Wood, Tony Pantages, Jaffrey Hunt, DJ Parmar, Jay Chandrasekhar, Tarsem Singh, Navaniat Singh, Rohit Jugraj, Abdul Kayum, Sukhminder Dhanjal, Amarjit Singh Saron, Sukh Sanghera, Pali Bhupinder, and many more.
He has also had the opportunity to act alongside numerous Hollywood, Bollywood, and Pollywood stars, including Maggie Lawson, Lisa Ray, Gulshan Grover, Mandy Takhar, Neeru Bajwa, Jimmy Shergill, Diljit Dosanjh, Jaswinder Bhalla, Gugu Gill, and many others.
