Bhakti Barve was a multi-talented Indian actress, renowned for her captivating performances in film, theatre, and television across Marathi, Hindi, and Gujarati languages.

Her most iconic role was in Kundan Shah's groundbreaking comedy, Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, released in 1983, which cemented her status as a beloved figure in Indian cinema.

As a stalwart of Marathi theatre, Barve was affiliated with prominent groups such as Theatre Unit, Indian National Theatre, and Rangayan, and is fondly remembered for her remarkable portrayals in plays like Ti Phularani, Nag Mandala, Aayee Retire Hote Aahe, and Hands Up.

Throughout her illustrious career, Barve received numerous accolades, including the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in Marathi theatre Acting in 1990, bestowed upon her by India's National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama.
