Benjamin Mouton, a native of Lafayette, Louisiana, embarked on a journey of self-discovery and artistic expression, culminating in his graduation from the University Of S.W. Louisiana with a degree in English.
His thirst for knowledge and passion for the performing arts led him to relocate to New York, where he enrolled in the esteemed American Academy of Dramatic Arts. This prestigious institution, renowned for its rigorous training programs, provided Mouton with the ideal environment to hone his craft.
In 1984, his dedication and perseverance were rewarded with the prestigious Jehlinger Award, a testament to his exceptional talent and commitment to his craft.
Fast-forward to 1997, Mouton received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Lone Star Awards, Texas' annual entertainment awards, for his captivating portrayal of Clyde Smith in The Whole Wide World (1996). This critically acclaimed film had previously made a splash at the Sundance Film Festival in 1996.
Throughout his illustrious career, Mouton has had the privilege of starring or being featured in over 15 feature films, as well as numerous stage and television productions. His most recent endeavor is the production of his second independent feature, which he has also co-written.
