Benjamin Kahlmeyer, a talented and innovative filmmaker, was born in 1982 in Marburg, Germany. With a strong foundation in philosophy and literature from Freie Universität Berlin, he went on to hone his craft at the prestigious Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2005.

Throughout his career, Kahlmeyer has demonstrated his versatility as a filmmaker by working as a director, author, cinematographer, and editor for a wide range of projects, including TV, web, and cinema productions. His expertise spans multiple genres, including documentary, experimental, and fictional formats.

Kahlmeyer's impressive portfolio boasts numerous awards for his feature-length documentaries, including "MEANWHILE IN MAMELODI" and "THE INVISIBLES". His short film "EISEN" made a significant impact, winning the prestigious GOLDEN DOVE at DOK Leipzig in 2015.
