Ben Seton's journey in the world of acting began at a tender age, with his first appearance on the Australian TV drama series "Water Rats" in 1996. Born in Sydney, Australia, Seton spent his formative years in the city's Western Suburbs before his family relocated to Wombeyan Caves, situated in the picturesque Blue Mountains of New South Wales.
It was during his time in the caves, living without electricity for a year and a half, that Seton's passion for acting was kindled. The lack of modern conveniences forced him to rely on more traditional forms of entertainment, and he would often spend hours reading and telling stories by candlelight with his three brothers. This experience sparked a flame within him, and he began to realize his true calling.
After his family returned to Sydney, Seton attended St Ignatius College, where he immersed himself in the theatre department and discovered a profound love for the works of William Shakespeare. His dedication to his craft paid off when he won the Australian Young Shakespearean Artist of the year award in 1995, and he was subsequently presented with the College Blue for Drama in 1996.
Seton's impressive academic achievements were matched by his prowess in the martial art of Tae Kwon Do. He competed in international tournaments and was crowned the South Pacific Champion in 1995. Combining his two passions, he created a unique sell-out show called "Tae Kwon Shakespeare," which earned him recognition and led to guest appearances in "BeastMaster" (1999) and "The Lost World" (2001).
In the following years, Seton co-starred with Lara Cox in "The Dinner Party" (2009) and made the move to Los Angeles, where he appeared on Fox Networks' "On the Lot" (2007). His performance impressed judges Garry Marshall, Michael Bay, and Carrie Fisher, who commended him on an "excellent performance."
Seton's subsequent career highlights include starring as the lead in two sci-fi action films, "Vanquisher" (2011) and "Thrillseekers the Indosheen" (2013). Throughout his journey, Seton has consistently demonstrated his versatility and range as an actor, and his unique blend of theatricality and martial arts expertise has made him a standout in the entertainment industry.
