Ben is a direct descendant of the Allen Brothers, the founders of Houston, Texas. His father, a military officer, earned a doctorate from Harvard University, while his mother, a yoga instructor, brought a more artistic perspective to their family. During his college years, Ben pursued a double degree in Communications and Theater, simultaneously auditioning and landing roles in various on-screen and voice-over projects. Notably, he appeared alongside Oscar winner Jamie Foxx in the biopic Ray (2004). This early success encouraged Ben to relocate to Los Angeles and dedicate himself to a full-time acting career.
In Los Angeles, Ben continued to hone his craft, studying at esteemed acting studios such as the Larry Moss Studio, and eventually becoming a career consultant at TVI Actors Studio. In 2009, he founded and directed the Edgemar Film Festival in Santa Monica, which was hosted by the Larry Moss Studio. Since 2011, Ben has primarily focused on voice-over work, lending his talents to video games, animation, radio and television commercials, and automated dialogue replacement (ADR) for television and feature films.
In 2018, Ben expanded his professional endeavors by becoming the owner and operator of Voice Actors Network, a platform that connects voice actors with industry professionals.
