Benjamin Leasure was born in Rochester, New York to Jeanne and Rick Leasure, a sibling of four and uncle of eight. He is a classically trained actor, having graduated from one of the prestigious Tisch Studios and Upright Citizens Brigade.
Ben Leasure gained recognition for his portrayal of James Dean in Tim Heidecker's Cartoon Network Oscar Special, CBS's All Rise, and his appearance on the poster of the Wolf of Wall Street. He also showcased his versatility as an actor by playing the role of Donald in the hit web series Gentlemen's Dwelling, which he co-executive produced.
In addition to his television work, Ben has been a guest or co-star on 12 cable TV programs in the last two years. He made his producing debut in the summer of 2013 with the action-comedy pilot Flipsters, starring alongside Emmy nominee Mark Margolis.
Ben has a strong background in independent films, having acted in numerous projects before entering the studio world. He has appeared in various film festivals and screenings across the country, taking on lead roles in a range of genres. Some of his notable roles include Lloyd, a silent and introspective clock repairman in the feature film Men With Arms, and Peter Panagos' Romantic Comedy Love at a Coffee Shop.
As a seasoned theater actor, Ben has performed in a multitude of classical and contemporary pieces in New York City and regionally. Some of his favorite roles include "Sorry About Your Penpal" by Joe Lankheet, Heraculus in ICImedia's Zenobia, and The Drum Major in Stasz/Pruitt's Woyzeck.
In his capacity as a producer and ghostwriter, Ben has several feature film projects in development.
