Ben Kurland's journey in the world of acting began when he was just nine years old, during his time at The Fessenden School, an institution that boasts an impressive alumni list, featuring notable figures such as actor Christopher Lloyd, Senator Ted Kennedy, Senator John Kerry, and the enigmatic Howard Hughes.
As a child, Ben found himself immersed in the world of theatre, participating in over two dozen plays and attending the prestigious Walnut Hill School Summer Theatre, where he took part in an impressive three performances in one go. The following year, he landed the lead role in a production of "Bye Bye Birdie" while simultaneously starring in a run of "Stop the World, I Want to Get Off" at Boston University.
Ben's next stop was Choate Rosemary Hall, a renowned prep school that is celebrated for its extraordinary Performing Arts Department, which boasts an Arts Center designed by the legendary architect I.M. Pei. The school's impressive alumni list includes notable figures such as Michael Douglas, Glenn Close, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Paul Giamatti.
During his time at Choate, Ben had the privilege of working under the direction of Edward Albee, a Choate alum and one of America's most revered playwrights. Ben spent two years at the school, completing his high school education at Newton South.
Following his high school graduation, Ben attended Emerson College's Theatre Conservatory before transferring to USC's School of Theatre. Since graduating from college, Ben has gone on to star in two award-winning films, "Taps" (2006) and "Sinners" (2007),and has made appearances on TLC and SpikeTV.
