Rebecca Elizabeth Sauerbrunn, a talented American soccer player, was born on June 6, 1985. She currently plays for Portland Thorns FC, a prominent team in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL),which is the highest division of women's professional soccer in the United States.
As of 2021, Sauerbrunn has taken on the esteemed role of captain for the United States women's national soccer team. Prior to this, she captained Utah Royals FC and, from 2016 to 2018, co-captained the national team alongside Carli Lloyd.
