Barbara Pollard, a renowned individual with a multifaceted career, initially made a name for herself as a model, before transitioning to a life filled with greenery and horticulture. She embarked on a new path, cultivating her skills as a gardener and property developer, and co-owned and operated the esteemed Abbey House Gardens in Wiltshire alongside her husband, Ian.
Tragedy struck when Ian sadly passed away, leaving Barbara to navigate the complexities of running the gardens alone. Undeterred, she continued to nurture her passion for gardening and property development, working tirelessly to maintain the beauty and charm of Abbey House.
As time passed, Barbara's sons, Rufus and Kian, and Rufus' wife, Kristen, became increasingly involved in the daily operations of the gardens. Together, they worked to ensure the continued success and growth of Abbey House, until the bittersweet decision was made to close its doors in 2021.
