Biography

Barbara Lott, a talented actress, was born into a family with a rich cultural heritage, her father William Lott being the esteemed manager of Ealing Studios prior to the outbreak of the Second World War. With a strong foundation in the arts, Barbara went on to hone her craft at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA),where she received thorough training in the art of acting.

Her professional journey began with a stage debut in 1944, marking the commencement of a long and illustrious career in the world of theatre. The 1950s saw her make her television debut, a milestone that would eventually lead to widespread recognition and acclaim.

It was not until later in life that Barbara achieved widespread fame, with memorable roles in the popular television series "Rings on Their Fingers" (1978) and "Sorry!" (1981),in which she played the mother of the lovable Ronnie Corbett. Throughout her life, Barbara was married to the esteemed television producer Stuart Latham, who sadly passed away in 1993.
