Barbara Lee Bragg, a true Wyoming pioneer descendant, hails from a family with a rich history in the American West. Her great-grandfather was one of the first citizens of the State of Wyoming, a testament to the family's deep roots in the region. Her grandfather, William F. Bragg Sr., was a renowned Old West writer, and her father was a past president of the Western Writers of America, further solidifying the family's connection to the American literary heritage.
Barbara's own journey took a dramatic turn when she left her Wyoming roots behind and ran away to New York City to pursue a career in acting. Her hard work and talent earned her a spot at Yale Drama School, where she graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree. She then went on to hone her craft in various Off-Broadway, regional, and Shakespearean productions, including the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Yale Repertory Theatre, and more.
In Los Angeles, Barbara continued to make a name for herself in the entertainment industry, performing in a wide range of productions, from Classical Theatre Lab to the Met Theatre, Los Angeles Women's Shakespeare, Pacific Resident Theatre, and even writing her own solo show, "Tales of the Old West," for the Autry Museum of the American West.
Throughout her career, Barbara has written and performed in four solo shows: "True West Girl" (Hollywood Fringe Festival),"American Cassandra," "Star Swallower," and more. Her impressive list of credits includes appearances in popular TV shows such as "ER," "The West Wing," "Lincoln Heights," "American Horror Story," "3rd Rock from the Sun," and "Unicorn" (CBS),as well as various independent films like "Olivia Project," "Finding Filman," "Sophia," "Nothing Here to See" (starring Kate Burton),and "Dr. Leigh Brackett" in Marc and Elaine Zicree's "Space Command."
As a writer, actress, and executive producer, Barbara has recently completed starring and producing the YouTube series "On Set" and "Bitches Be Trippin'" - six episodes strong. Additionally, she shares her expertise as an acting instructor at Cal Poly Pomona.
