Barbara Kyagulanyi, a Ugandan philanthropist and author, was born on September 7, 1984. She is the wife of renowned Ugandan pop artist and politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, also known as Bobi Wine.

Barbara's literary endeavors include the publication of her book "Golden Memories of a Village Belle" in 2012. This literary work showcases her creative writing skills and passion for storytelling.

In 2013, Barbara founded Caring Hearts Uganda, a non-governmental organization (NGO) with a primary focus on empowering girl child leadership, HIV/AIDS awareness, menstrual hygiene, and education. Through her NGO, she has implemented various initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable development among youths. Her efforts were widely praised by the media, particularly when she told the BBC that the struggle for change in Uganda was not about her or her family but rather about the oppressed people of Uganda.

As a result of her husband's political activities, Barbara was placed under house arrest along with him. Despite these challenges, she continued to advocate for the rights of civilians, including an end to military court martial, which had been used to prosecute civilians.

Through her various endeavors, Barbara Kyagulanyi has demonstrated her commitment to empowering women, children, and youths, as well as her dedication to promoting positive change in Uganda.
