Barbara Eden, born Barbara Jean Morehead, is a renowned American actress who has made a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco, California, and later studied at San Francisco's City College, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and Elizabeth Holloway School of Theatre.

Eden began her career in music, but it was her iconic role as "Jeannie" in the NBC TV comedy series I Dream of Jeannie (1965) that catapulted her to international fame. She has since appeared in over 20 theatrical feature films and made-for-television movies, working with major studios such as 20th Century Fox, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, Columbia Studios, and Universal Studios.

In addition to her film and television work, Eden has also had a successful career in stage productions, starring in musicals such as The Sound of Music and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She has toured extensively, performing in various stage productions, including Neil Simon's Last of the Red Hot Lovers and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
