Avalon Penrose is a multifaceted individual who wears many hats, including those of actress, comedian, musician, and mental health advocate. During her time at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA),where she was pursuing a degree in Marine Biology & Psychology, she simultaneously served as the Improv and Theatre Director for the LCC Theatre Company, founded by Randall Park.
It was during her time at UCLA that Avalon made her comedy debut at the prestigious Spring Sing, where she performed her original comedy song, "I Fell in Love in an UberPool", to an audience of nearly 10,000 people. This marked the beginning of her comedy career, which she continued to nurture by studying improv comedy at the former Improv Olympic West in Hollywood.
As she finished her Bachelor's degree, Avalon began performing improv and stand-up comedy across Los Angeles, eventually finding a home as a member of two House Improv teams at Second City, Hollywood. She also developed, produced, and starred in several independent shorts with her production company, Probably a Cult, alongside her friends.
Avalon's national television debut came in Season 2 of ABC's "The Gong Show" reboot, an off-beat comedy competition hosted by Mike Myers and produced by Will Arnett. Her film career took off with her breakout feature film role as Allison in Release Date (2019),alongside Munro Chambers and Roland Buck III.
Following this, she was cast in Season 2 of the Amazon web series "Pretty Dudes", co-starred in the woman-centric pilot "Woman Up" for ABC, and landed a series-regular role on the Hulu kids' show "Challenge Squad".
