Person Biography:
Born in Córdoba, Argentina, this talented individual graduated from the National Film School of Argentina (ENERC, Buenos Aires) with a degree in film direction. He furthered his education by completing the Master II in Filmmaking at the Higher School of Audiovisual Arts of Toulouse (ESAV) in France. With a diverse range of skills, he works as a director, assistant director, and screenwriter.
Throughout his career, he has written and directed numerous short films, including fiction and documentaries, which have premiered at various international film festivals. Some of his notable films include "The sound of the bell" (2019),"Hated myself" (2014),and "Poisson-Zebre" (2017),which received support from the National Theatre of Toulouse.
He has won the national arts fund twice and has been recognized for his work with over 25 awards, including Best film and best script at Fantaspoa, best horror film at Feratum, and best film at the Fantastic Film Week of the Costa del Sol and 11th Galacticat.
His latest project, "El Escuerzo" (2023),is a historical horror film that premiered at various festivals worldwide. This film was co-produced with Spain and received several awards, including the Best film and best script at Fantaspoa, the Best horror film at Feratum, and the Best film at the Fantastic Film Week of the Costa del Sol and 11th Galacticat.
In addition to his solo work, he collaborates with his brother Matías Sinay under the name Hermanos Sinay. Their short film "Compost" premiered at Fantastic Fest, Mar del Plata, the Havana Film Festival, and Bogoshorts.
