Biography

Audrey Dalton, a Dublin-born actress, had a childhood fascination with the performing arts, which led her to pursue a career in acting. She began her journey by appearing in school plays and, following her family's relocation to London, she applied to the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA). During her time at RADA, a London-based Paramount executive discovered her talent while watching her perform in a play, prompting him to ask her to audition for the upcoming film "The Girls of Pleasure Island" (1953). Dalton's impressive audition earned her the lead role and a Paramount contract, leading her to relocate to the United States in 1952.
