Aubrey embarked on an illustrious journey by securing a prestigious Leverhulme Scholarship in 1954, allowing him to pursue his passion for the performing arts at the esteemed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. However, his tenure at the institution was brief, lasting only two years, as he opted to venture into the world of repertory theatre, gracing the stages of Worthing, Richmond, Palmer's Green, and Leatherhead. He went on to hone his craft with seasons at Stratford on Avon and the iconic Regents Park Open Air, as well as making appearances in West End productions of "Men Without Shadows", "Oliver", "The Lord Chamberlain Regrets", and "The Four Musketeers". Additionally, Aubrey showcased his versatility by participating in revues and cabaret performances at the Savoy in Dorchester, as well as Music Hall at the Players Theatre Club. Throughout his illustrious career, Aubrey has been blessed with the love and support of his wife, Gaynor.
