Biography

Assad Fouladkar, a television director of Iranian descent, hails from Lebanon, where he initially pursued his education.

During his time in Boston University, he majored in film direction and concurrently created several documentaries, further honing his craft.

Subsequently, he relocated to Australia, where he took on the role of assistant director for a variety of sit-coms.

After spending some time in Australia, Assad returned to his native Lebanon, where he has since established himself as a film critic and university teacher.

Prior to his current focus on sit-coms, Assad made his debut feature, "Lama Hekiet Mariam" (When Mariam Told her Story),which received critical acclaim in 2002.

This award-winning film marked a significant turning point in his career, prompting him to dedicate himself primarily to sit-coms, with his most notable work being the popular series "Ragel we Set Settat" (A Man and Six Women).
