Assaad was born in July 1980, in the charming city of Aurillac, France, to a French mother and a Moroccan father. He spent his formative years in Rabat, Morocco, where he was raised surrounded by the rich cultural heritage of his father's homeland. However, his passion for the performing arts soon led him to make the bold decision to leave his family and hometown behind in 1998. He relocated to the City of Light, Paris, to pursue his dream of becoming an actor by enrolling in the prestigious Cours Florent.
Over the years, Assaad's hard work and dedication paid off, and he graduated from the renowned National Conservatory of Paris in 2006. Since then, he has established himself as a talented and versatile actor, known for his captivating performances in a wide range of films and television shows. Some of his notable roles include his appearances in Marock (2005),Days of Glory (2006),Whatever Lola Wants (2007),Outside the Law (2010),and Homeland season 5, where he played the recurring character of Waleed.
In addition to his work in French cinema, Assaad has also appeared in several international productions, including the Netflix original films Ali & Nino and The Bay of Silence. His impressive range has also allowed him to take on roles in TV series such as Dix pour cent (Call My Agent) on Netflix, Braquo, and Kaboul Kitchen for Canal +.
One of his most recent and highly anticipated projects is the Netflix series Messiah, where he will be playing the role of 'Q'.
