Ashley Michelle Tisdale, a multi-talented American actress, singer, and producer, was born on July 2, 1985. Prior to gaining widespread recognition, she began her career as a child, appearing in over 100 television commercials and securing roles in various theatre and television productions.
In 2004, Tisdale landed the role of Maddie Fitzpatrick in the popular Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which helped establish her as a rising star. Her breakout performance came in 2006 when she played the iconic character Sharpay Evans in the Disney Channel original movie High School Musical.
The High School Musical franchise, which included three films and the spin-off Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure in 2011, catapulted Tisdale to international stardom. Her immense popularity led to a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records in 2006. That same year, she released her debut album, Headstrong, which was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and featured the hit single "He Said She Said".
Two years later, Tisdale released her sophomore album, Guilty Pleasure. After a brief hiatus from music, she announced plans to return to the music scene in 2013, confirming that she had been working on her third studio album.
