Ashley David Murray was born on August 8th, 1987, in the vibrant city of Nashville, Tennessee, where he was raised by his parents, including his father Dee Murray, the esteemed bassist for the renowned musician Elton John. Tragedy struck when his father passed away in 1992, prompting his mother to relocate the family to Raleigh, North Carolina, to be closer to her family. This move allowed Ashley to grow up surrounded by loved ones and develop a strong sense of community.
Throughout his school years, Ashley was an exceptionally athletic individual, showcasing his exceptional skills in various sports, including basketball, football, tennis, and wrestling. However, he also discovered his passion for acting at a young age, frequently appearing on stage throughout high school and college. His academic achievements culminated in him graduating from The University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre.
In addition to his theatrical pursuits, Ashley has a profound appreciation for carpentry and honed his skills as the shop assistant in the UNCW Theatre department, where he constructed sets for numerous productions. When his mother passed in away 2012, Ashley made the courageous decision to relocate to Los Angeles to dedicate himself to his acting career full-time.
Ashley has recently had the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals such as Olivia Applegate and Chadwick Hopson in the 2019 film "Sole" and Alyy Khan and Barry Corbin in the 2017 film "The Valley".
Currently, Ashley is furthering his craft by studying at the esteemed MC2 Actors Studio in Los Angeles.
