Ashley Bornancin is a renowned multimedia journalist, morning and entertainment reporter, and TV host with over a decade of experience. Her extensive background in television has granted her the ability to excel in various roles, from breaking news to in-depth storytelling.
As the lead morning reporter for Toledo's number one station, 13ABC, Ashley brings lively stories to the morning airwaves from 5-7:30am, covering breaking news, tours of Opera Houses, and more. She also contributes to the 12pm and 5pm shows, turning her own stories as a multimedia journalist, writing, editing, and shooting.
With over 8 years of experience in the industry, Ashley has worked as a TV host and social producer for Bravo & NBC Universal in Los Angeles, as well as a morning correspondent for The CW's morning show, Aging and Awesome in Vegas. Her experience in entertainment journalism is equally impressive, having served as a red carpet reporter and interviewing celebrities such as Meghan Markle, John Legend, Gloria Allred, and stars of popular TV shows.
Ashley's passion for all forms of media drives her to excel in writing, editing, shooting, reporting, and anchoring. Her love for journalism began at a young age, when she would write weekly newsletters for her neighborhood at just 5 years old. This passion led her to attend Indiana's Ernie Pyle School of Journalism and receive the Journalism Broadcast Scholarship at Biola University, where she graduated as the Executive Producer and Head Anchor of the University's broadcast.
Ashley's grounded Midwestern sensibility and experience as a performer have allowed her to bring her strong improvisation skills and on-air talent to her work in journalism and storytelling. When she's not reporting and sharing real-life stories, Ashley enjoys spending time with her Italian family, running in half marathons, and expanding her knowledge of global travel and languages.
