As a child, Arlene was exposed to the world of entertainment through her father, a bagpiper and minister, and her mother, a teacher. She made her television debut at the tender age of five on the show "The Uncle Guss Show" in New Hampshire. Growing up in a musical Scotch/Irish household, Arlene was encouraged to pursue her passion for dance and acting from a young age. She won several pageants, including the Miss Interline and Mrs. Hawaii America pageants, and was involved in numerous performances with a group of kids who would write, produce, and perform their own plays during the summer months.
Arlene's love for acting was nurtured by her high school drama coach and dance instructor, who encouraged her to continue pursuing her craft after graduation. She drew inspiration from her personal experiences working with foster children, preventing child abuse, and supporting crisis pregnancy centers. As a result, her characters are deeply rooted in empathy and understanding. Arlene is dedicated to several charitable organizations, including Heart Gallery, St. Charles Home, Cards for Kids in Hospitals, and Aloha Pregnancy Center, and has served as the spokesperson for Prevent Child Abuse in 2005.
