Biography

Anthony Stewart Head was born on February 20, 1954, in Camden Town, a north London neighborhood in England. His childhood was spent in Hampton, a nearby town situated near Richmond upon Thames in London. He was the youngest son of Seafield Head, a documentary filmmaker, and Helen Shingler, an actress, who both played a significant role in shaping his artistic inclinations.

As the younger brother of musician and actor Murray Head, who famously originated the role of Judas in the original album of "Jesus Christ Superstar," Anthony Head grew up surrounded by the world of performing arts. His brother's successful career likely inspired Anthony to pursue his own passions in the entertainment industry.

Anthony's personal life is marked by a long-term relationship with Sarah Fisher, a former theatre administrator whom he met when he was 28 years old. The couple has two daughters, actresses Emily Head and Daisy Head, who have followed in their father's footsteps in the entertainment industry.

Beyond his acting career, Anthony Head shares his brother's talent for singing, and they have collaborated on numerous productions over the years. Although they have never appeared in the same production simultaneously, their musical talents have been showcased in various projects. In 1983, Anthony Head was part of a band called "Two Way," which released a 45 single featuring three songs produced by Richard Dodd and Ron Roker.

Anthony Head's impressive range of skills extends beyond acting and singing. He is an accomplished horse rider, swimmer, scuba diver, pianist, guitarist, and stage fighter, showcasing his versatility and adaptability as a performer.
