Biography

Anthony Sherwood has established himself as a dynamic force in stage, television, and film, showcasing his versatility as a performer. His impressive resume boasts a varied body of work, earning him numerous accolades and recognition. As a documentary filmmaker, he has tackled significant global issues, with some of his films receiving national and international awards.

Anthony has worked with esteemed directors and actors, including Sidney Lumet, Ted Kotcheff, and Michael Crichton. He has shared the screen with notable actors such as Martin Sheen, Lou Gossett Jr., and Sidney Poitier.

In television, Anthony has made memorable appearances, including his role as Jason Locke in the American series "Airwolf II" and as Dillon Beck in the C.B.C. award-winning drama "Street Legal", earning a Gemini Award nomination.

As the founder of Anthony Sherwood Productions, he specializes in producing documentary films focused on social justice and human rights issues, exploring topics such as HIV/AIDS in Africa, landmines in Bosnia and Cambodia, and youth violence in Jamaica.

A seasoned stage performer, Anthony began his career in musical theatre, starring in productions such as "Dream Girls", "Ain't Misbehavin'", "Cabaret", "Razz 'M Jazz", and "The Music Man". He has written and directed for the stage, including the play "Titanic: The Untold Story" and "The Colour of Courage", which commemorated the 100th anniversary of Canada's one and only all-black battalion.

In 2015, Anthony published his first novel, "Music In The Dark".
