Biography

Tot, a French creative genius, was born on March 9, 1977, in Montreuil, France. As a multifaceted individual, he wears many hats, including screenwriter, director, producer, and game designer. He is best recognized as the co-founder and art director of Ankama, a renowned entertainment company that brings to life the captivating world of Dofus and Wakfu.

Tot's educational background includes studying at the prestigious Fine-Arts Academy of Tournai in Belgium. He later joined an online agency in Roubaix, where he crossed paths with Camille Chafer and Emmanuel Darras, with whom he would later co-found Ankama in 2001.

Their first collaborative project, the turn-based MMORPG Dofus, launched in 2004 and swiftly gained immense popularity, particularly in France. This success prompted Roux and his companions to expand the Dofus universe, leading to the creation of Dofus 2, later rebranded as Wakfu, which entered beta testing in 2008. Simultaneously, an animated series with the same title premiered on France 3, a public television channel.

Tot served as the head writer for both the game and the series, and in 2013, he co-created a spin-off targeting a younger audience, Dofus: Aux trésors de Kerubim. He has continued to develop animated shows, with seasons 3 and 4 of Wakfu supported by crowd-funding campaigns. Additionally, he has written and illustrated Wakfu-related art books and comic books.

In his personal life, Tot is married to Azra, a talented comic book artist, with whom he collaborates on some comic book projects.
