Anthony Lewis is a talented English actor who started his acting career at the tender age of nine. He initially gained recognition with early roles in popular television shows such as Heartbeat, A Touch Of Frost, and Cracker, as well as a feature film alongside Brenda Blethyn and Julie Walters in the movie Girls' Night, written by Kay Mellor.
As a young actor, Lewis secured regular roles in several television shows, including Children's Ward, where he played Scott Morris for three series, and Adam's Family Tree, where he portrayed Adam for two series. He also starred in the lead role in the British Comedy Award-winning show My Dad's a Boring Nerd, which showcased his impressive acting skills.
Lewis's success in television led to a full-time role on the popular soap Emmerdale, where he played Marc Reynolds for four years. After leaving the show, he continued to challenge himself with a role in the play Broken Voices at the Tristan Bates Theatre in London's West End.
Lewis's subsequent television roles included appearances in Dalziel and Pascoe and Respectable, as well as a feature film role in the multi-award-winning film Boy A. He then took on the lead role in the popular sci-fi show Torchwood, playing the character of Tommy Brockless, a young World War I soldier tasked with saving the universe.
In addition to his television and film work, Lewis has also performed in several stage productions, including the film version of A Passionate Woman and the football comedy Everything But The Ball. In his spare time, he has been a part of the band 'The Good Die Young' for several years, regularly performing across the country.
Lewis has also appeared alongside his brother Matthew Lewis in the BBC Television series The Syndicate, which featured Joanna Page and Timothy Spall. He has also performed on stage at Hull Truck Theatre in the production of A Passionate Woman, alongside Kay Mellor, Stuart Manning, and Andrew Dunn.
The show also toured as a co-production between The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich and Oldham Coliseum. Lewis recently toured the UK as Lomper in the Number 1 tour of The Full Monty.
In addition to his acting career, Lewis can occasionally be heard as a Continuity Announcer for BBC Television. He is also the founder of IGUN Pictures, a platform for developing shorts, music videos, and feature films, where he serves as a Writer, Director, and Producer.
