Anshul Chauhan, a talented individual born in 1986 in the northern regions of India, embarked on a remarkable journey that would span across various industries and countries. After completing his education at a military academy and graduating with a degree in Arts, he kickstarted his professional career in the animation sector in 2006 with Paprikaas Studios Pvt Ltd, now known as Technicolor India.
Throughout his tenure, Anshul worked on numerous projects, including the renowned Farm Kids and Back at the Barnyard series by Nickelodeon, as well as the animation for the National award-winning Indian film Delhi Safari. Furthermore, he took on the role of team leader for the BBC TV series Everything's Rosie, showcasing his exceptional leadership skills.
In 2011, Anshul relocated to Tokyo, where he joined Polygon Pictures and contributed to the production of several notable projects, such as the Emmy Award-winning Tron Uprising by Disney XD and the Transformers television series. His impressive work continued as he moved on to OLM pictures, working on the Pacman animated series by Bandai Namco.
Anshul's journey eventually led him to Square Enix, where he was involved in the development of several large-scale animation projects, including Final Fantasy 15, the tie-in film KingsGlaive, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Gantz:0, among others.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Anshul pursued his passion for directing, which led to the establishment of his independent studio Kowatanda films in 2016. Since then, the studio has produced three shorts and two feature films, Bad Poetry Tokyo and Kontora, which have garnered numerous awards and critical acclaim at international film festivals.
