Anouar H. Smaine, a multifaceted French and Algerian writer, director, and actor, spent his childhood navigating the cities of Paris and Algiers due to his parents' profession - his mother being a French Professor and his father a renowned playwright, film, TV, and theater actor.
As a teenager, Anouar relocated to the US and attended Eastern Michigan University, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Computer Science, followed by two Master's degrees in Political Science, Fine Arts, and World Languages.
After completing his filmmaking training at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, Anouar went on to write, direct, and produce numerous short films, including "Axis of Evil", "Sharia", and "Battle Fields", which earned him multiple awards and accolades in the US, European, North African, Middle Eastern, and Asian festival circuits.
Throughout his career, Anouar's films have competed in over 30 countries, showcasing his versatility and talent as a storyteller.
As a multilingual individual, fluent in French, Spanish, Arabic, Middle Eastern and North African dialects, and various European and African accents, Anouar has also established himself as a successful Voice Actor, lending his voice to Academy Award-nominated films such as "I Lost my Body", "The Life Ahead", and "The Ballad of Lefty Brown", featuring the legendary Peter Fonda in the French version of the film.
